Grief is a powerful emotion that can be overwhelming. Those grieving may question God’s love at times and may experience a sense of being lost and confused. But there is hope. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 tells us that God wants to comfort us in our time of loss. It says, “God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.”
We believe that the best way to go through the grief process is by walking with those that are also grieving. Romans?12:15 says, “Weep with those who weep.” Our Grief Support Group brings together those that are grieving to share their experiences and to find strength and healing in God.
We form a Grief Support Group when there is a small group needing it. This group meets once a week for four weeks, then takes a recess before restarting again. The meeting days and times are determined around the scheduling needs of those interested in joining the group.
