Erika Lima - Teaching Ministry

Many people know me as the “quiet” one, and I guess they’re right. However, I like to think of myself more as the thoughtful and reserved type of person. That’s not to say that I don’t have fun because I do! I love the outdoors (hiking, swimming, sports) and I also have quite the appetite for reading and for music. Aside from this, I can tell you that I have one love of my life and this is God. He has been so very good to me. It is because of him that I have been able to achieve my goals of obtaining my Bachelor’s in Human Services from California State University Dominguez Hills and currently working on my Masters in Christian Education at Talbot Theological Seminary at Biola University. I also have the privilege and honor of being part of such an amazing church as Spirit Life Community Church. As part of the teaching staff of this church I have one desire and goal and this is to be ready in and out of season to preach the word of God and to encourage people with good teaching and with God’s amazing love.

Carlos Gonzalez is the worship director at Spirit Life Community Church. Carlos has been involved in church music ministry for over 12 years, and has directed music ministries for 8. His interest in music began in secondary school, as part of marching bands and groups. Carlos has received music instruction at UC Riverside and East Los Angeles College. To each worship session he brings passion, spirit, and just a bit of soul, in a distinct style that always seeks to praise God in the fullest.
Carlos is involved with Urban Ops Youth Ministries, a ministry that ministers to neglected youth through events, programs and rap music. As their administrator, Carlos deals with all scheduling and financial aspects of ministry, and with the organizing and production of music and recording matters.
When not in church or travelling with Urban Ops, Carlos can be found at UC Riverside. As the acting director of the UC Riverside MESA Schools programs, Carlos administers the delivery of Mathematics, Engineering and Science support services to over 20 schools in the Inland Empire area. A program of the college of engineering, the goal of MESA is to provide students opportunities to excel in math and science, and pursue the lucrative and exciting careers an engineering education entails.
In his spare time, Carlos enjoys the outdoors, watching and playing sports and a great cup of coffee. "I encourage folks to live a life of worship, a life dedicated to bringing God glory in all you do. Whether it be your job, your family, your hobbies, let it all reflect the unfailing love of the Christ that gave it all for you. Let his joy be your way of lfe... enjoy the ride, have fun, and don't forget to share that joy with others."
